The Ministry of Hajj has outlined the following procedure for the departure of pilgrims from Makkah:
- Transport Schedule:
- Pilgrims will be transported from their hotels in Makkah to Jeddah Airport approximately 12 hours prior to their flight departure.
- Reason for Early Departure:
- This early movement is to account for any potential logistical issues on the way to the airport, such as:
- Bus breakdowns
- Heavy traffic
- Medical emergencies
- The goal is to ensure that all pilgrims are present at the airport in time for their flights.

- Airport Entry:
- Despite arriving at the airport well in advance, entry into the airport may only be permitted about 4 hours before flight takeoff.
- During the wait time, pilgrims will be required to stay on the bus due to the high volume of travellers being processed.
- Patience and Utilization of Time:
- Pilgrims are encouraged to be patient and understand that this is the Ministry of Hajj’s policy, strictly implemented to ensure smooth operations.
- Use this waiting period for engaging in:
- Dhikr (remembrance of Allah)
- ‘Ibadah (worship)
- Reading the Quran
- Reflecting on your Hajj journey
- Dua

- a) Dhikr (invocation d’Allah)
- b) Réciter Salwat au Prophète (PSL)
- c) ‘Ibadah (adoration),
- d) Récitation du Saint Coran,
- e) Réflexion sur leur voyage du Hajj.
