“Shaykh Junaid Bhaiyat’s pursuit of the divine sciences started early. After having completed the memorization of the Holy Qur’an at the age of 12 years, he traveled to the renowned seminary Darul ‘Uloom Falah-e-Darain, India, to study the art of Tajweed and concurrently learnt the Urdu language. Therefter, he returned to Toronto and continued to study the traditional Dars-Nidhami syllabus – a rigorous 7-year course – at Jaami’ah Islamiyyaah Abu Bakr. His studies included (but were not limited to) Arabic (Etymology, Morphology, Rhetoric) , Tafsir (Qur’anic Exegesis), Hadith (Prophetic Traditions), Aqidah (Theology) and Fiqh (Jurisprudence) [specializing in the Hanafi School Of Thought].
